Looking for the Valentine’s Stamps. You find the post here. Sorry for the confusion.
Over the last year I have spent more than 300 hours browsing the web for inspiration and ideas. I have logged several hundred hours in front of different graphic applications to put together the most extensive Snagit Stamps package, dare I say, ever created.
Now I am close. But one piece of the puzzle is missing…
Part of what has made SuperStamps such a great Snagit add-on in the past is the amazing user involvement.
So before I put the final touches to SuperStamps Version 3 I really need your input…
Please use the comment field below to tell me what stamps you would like to have accessible when you work with Snagit.
The more details you include the easier it is for me and my team to create the stamps You need. You can specify details such as:
- What texts should the stamps have
- Colors, shapes and other descriptions
- If you are unsure of how the stamps should look like, we are also looking for comments on how you plan to use them. Maybe we have some ideas on how your needs can take shape.
It is also very helpful if you mention what industry you are involved in and how you use Snagit Stamps, is it for personal use, are you a teacher, architect, technical writer, do you use it in your business reports or perhaps you are planning to use the Stamps for video creation?
If you aren’t familiar with SuperStamps you can read more about it here. We also offer a free upgrade to SuperStamps version 3 for all purchases of version 2 during February 2012.
The more details we have the better we can fulfill your wishes and create exactly the stamps you need.
So please help us shape the future of Snagit Stamps by sharing your opinions in the comment area below!
World flags would be a great addition to SuperStamps. I am learning foreign languages and it would help if there are stamps representing a country’s language. E.g. I would like to make illustrations on how to say something in different languages. A flag next to a word or sentence indicates its translation.
I am a photobooth owner, I use Snagit a lot. It would be great if you have stamps that I could use for my templates in Photobooth like trophies, awards, funny templates like colorful hair, different hats, common name name plates etc. Looking forward to the new Superstamps.
I think it will be good also if you add up stamps that we can use in our field of teaching. I love Snagit and use it everyday for our Instructional Materials especially on video presentations, books and etc. E.g. Hope you can add Superstamps like texts about school subjects, mathematical symbols, musical notes and etc.
Organization by topic, field (like science, medicine, sports, writing, reportingetc.) and then by size and color… would be nice. Really looking forward to them!
I 2nd World Flags. That is a feature that would make me a buyer without 2nd thought.
I also use SnagIt everyday with creating training materials. I think that the SuperStamps are a fantastic idea, It will better identify alot of things alot clearning for the people who learn visually.
More arrow types and stamps to draw attention to certain parts of a screenshot. There are only a few circle-type stamps, and they don’t scale very well. (e.g. under the Accent type, and these haven’t changed or been updated in years) Also, I’d like to see more stamps that say things like “New” or “Updated” or “Improved” in an artistic/professional way.
I am an IT Trainer in the Health Care industry so having hospital / GP / Community related stamps would be useful. Also, having more Keyboard and Cursor related stamps would be beneficial as well as computor and techie / gadget stamps.
I would also like to see stamps that have travel / map / road sign stamps, e.g. speed signs, motorway signs, info signs, airport signs etc., and for the map having legend markers to identify the different parts of the map.
Stamps that can be used to show movement.
Stamps to help organizations evolve, break down cultural differences or to explore new ideas.
Stamps to help childern English, Math, Science etc
Oranize stamps as categories or themes
I am a newsletter editor for the California Retired teacher’s Association CalRTA, and I could use all kinds of stamps for my publication. People groups doing different functions, caricatures of different people’s and their personalities, etc. walks of life would be especially useful, bank, money symbols. Holiday logo’s and decorative symbols for deaths, memorials, etc. Government symbols, would be useful for me. I hope this is useful, thank you. I use Snagit is one of my most useful programs and probably use it several times a week and during publication quarters everyday.
I use snagit in my sketch presentations for my land surveys and mapping. In the past I have asked for camera stamps (with differnent angles) but I guess demand was not great enouth for you to add them. I hope someday you will reconsider.
Hi.
I use snagit and SuperStamps almost daily, and would like to count with some more images to work with.
Flags, more images looking like glass, warnings and messages (“download now”, “click here”, “Stop”, “demo”, symbols related to games and softwares, packshots, etc).
I would be happy also in to purchase a stamps package with beautiful arrows not inserted within a circle or any other object, and more buttons and emoticons.
There are many mapping tools online and as desktop software. But if you want icons or symbols you often have to spend thousands of dollars to get them as part of a software package. Therefore, highway, park, and city symbols would be helpful.
I would use more that involve scientists and engineering doing things as well as manufacturing and construction, things representing people making a living where education had a role in playing in their success.
I develop user documentation and would like to see more variety in the superstamps depicting numbers, symbols, and alphabetic letters.
I would love to see road signs – both standard road signs (Yield, Stop, etc.) but also the shapes of the signs left blank so that our own words could be added to them. I also would love to see more office related stamps like paper clips (that aren’t full pictures so when you add them it looks like it’s actually holding papers), tacks and push pins, etc. I ‘second’ the person who suggested cursor or keyboard related stamps as well.
I was not even aware of this being part of snagit, I just got the newer version of snagit but haven’t even installed it yet cause my old computer does not have room. I am still using old version of snagit and it works. Love snagit could not do without it!
Music
I a teacher for the Deaf. Stamps representing each hand shape of the alphabet and numbers 1 – 10 would be AWESOME!
I would like to see more medical type products and devices.
I work with coins so i would like to see stamps of all denominations like penny nickel etc.., and symbols like the cent symbol.
More arrows, stars, exclamation points, and other symbols and shapes to draw attention to a particular part of a scan. I use Snagit daily to highlight problems with maps, recorded documents, and screen shots in emails and presentations. Anything that helps me get across the particular part of the screen shot I want the receiver to pay attention to will be of GREAT use. I am in the title insurance industry
I really could really use some stamps that are related to business continuity and/or disaster recovery. It would really help to punch up screen shots in recovery scripts and presentations.
I would like to see more country specific Health & Safety signs and Road Traffic signs. I often use these types of signs in posters and labels. Thanks for asking for our input and keep up the good work with SnagIt stamps! 🙂
I love SuperStamps! I work with presentations and it’s a great tool to highlight and make parts more visible in my presentations at work. It adds great looks, making it so Pro! Love them, I would like more stamps in that line, for presentations.
I use Snag-it to document courses for sail-boats. For cruising courses, I need representations of standard navigation aid buoys [nuns, cans, bell-buoy, light], and mooring buoys, although a circle works for that. For racing courses, I would add spar-buoys, triangular flags, and inflatables [square balloons]. Going all out, it would be nice to have a full set of naval signal flags — helps with understanding race instructions from the committee boat.
All Nav buoys have short names [e.g., SMBB = Santa Monica Bell Buoy]. Names for racing marks/buoys are usually 1 or 2 alphanumeric characters.
But, all that said, help Stephen first. Hand shapes for the alphabet and numbers really would be AWESOME!
I write a lot step-by-step user documentation and use SnagIt screenshots with the arrows, cursors, etc. I would like to have more options for the arrows, cursors, and call outs…the shapes of them not just the colors. For example, the it would be nice to have the “click here” stamp where the text bubble is below or to the right/left of the cursor. Sometimes I need the text above to be visible. Thank you for asking for our feedback!
Consider “e-book” stamps. E-book is the fastest way for education going forward. Do stamps that shows few shapes and positions of e-books, and then e-books stack. This will attract web marketers to your stamp collections.
I am newer to using Snagit and love this tool. I don’t know what I did without it. I’m in IT for a company that is in the Transportation/Freight Forwarding field. I use Snagit for a lot of the processes we use. Images such as Steamship boats, airplanes and road transportation would be great.
I like all of the other ideas as well as the flag idea.
I love SnagIt…I used it at work (insurance I.T.) to cut/paste and add to a project debate/discussion…and now use it at home (retired)…but how do I use Stamps into/with FACEBOOK for instance…I insert JPG files to share but am uncertain how to add Stamps to add humor to posted pics…but then I’m new to Stamps…so much to learn….
Love snagit. Would like to see stamps that link to blended learning components, I noticed you already had “chat” but others coudl include webinar, workbook, online training room, video, online Session. These woudl be added to etc if person using a workbook, the icon woudl indicate that they need to now book in for online training or if viewing online training icon may indicate they need to update their workbook. That sort of thing. Hope it makes sense.
International symbols e.g. Danger, Caution, Note etc. Also the colour banners that natch those e.g red black stripes, tellow black etc etc.
Being able to create shapes and specify the size by length & width.
Country flags, State Flags, State shapes, Country and State Seals.
I write a lot of step-by-step user documentation also.
I use the numbers, arrows, exclamation point, enlarge the part of the screen, …etc on documents . If they can have many different shapes and colors
to choose to distinguish the different action will be great.
Also it will be nice to have the cursor to represent
the mouse operation (Ex: left click, double-click the left button,
right-click, click the middle button and move the sliding wheel forward or back ). Above can help me to reduce a lot of text instructions.
I created user training materials and documentation both as Word documents and as Captivate movies.
I’d like to add my votes to the following ideas mentioned in others comments:
* Images looking like glass, warnings and messages (“download now”, “click here”, “Stop”, “demo”, symbols related softwares
* Keyboard and Cursor related stamps would be beneficial as well as computor and techie / gadget stamps. paper clips (that aren’t full pictures so when you add them it looks like it’s actually holding papers), tacks and push pins, etc
* Also it will be nice to have the cursor to represent
the mouse operation (Ex: left click, double-click the left button,
right-click, click the middle button and move the sliding wheel forward or back ).
I would very much use a good selection of Call to Action buttons. For example, “Click Here”, “Call Now”, “Buy Today”, “Register now”, “Free Shipping”, “Contact Now”, “Shop Now”, “See More”, “Buy Now”, “Add to Cart”, “Learn more”, “Order Now”, Satisfaction guaranteed”, “Best value”, “Join Now”, “Start Now”, “Free Gift”. These could be in a variety of colors, boarders, etc. but they should all have transparent backgrounds.
I would like to see a display of fire apparatus and fireman tools I think that would really entice emails by signing it with the different fire trucks and tools that are out there….
My company has recently purchased a new Completions Management System. Essentially this is a database that facilitates the orderly transition of construction work to our clients.
The new software allows us to utilize external Icons. So it would be nice if there was also construction / commissioning stamps as well in the package.
I discovered Snagit after being introduced to it by fellow GIS lecturer. I use it to produce training/lecture tutorial documents, and its fantastic! I agree with some of the suggestions for more choice in the cursor and keyboard stamps, also some more representation of mapping symbols would be most useful.
I would support the suggestion for hand shapes of the alphabet for Deaf people, excellent idea.
Thanks for asking for our input.
I thought having stamps that teachers coud use would be helpful.
Focus, Focus, Focus. . .
I’m an IT instructor and Snagit has certainly made my job a lot easier. People learn much faster when using interesting visual aids. Focusing their attention to specific points in images in creative ways is a challenge. Glass stamps with clear centers, various colors and widths are an example. Your Neon Circle, Glass Circle and Dark Glass are touching on what I mean. Combine the attributes of these stamps into a series of Focus stamps for adult education. Love your stamps!
I am very involved with Artist’s Trading Cards. There are large groups all over the world that love to trade these cards back and forth to each other. The most popular images used in creating these 2.5 x 3.5 (inches) cards are vintage images (women, flowers, patterns, etc. late 18th century to very early 19th century), steampunk images (gears and inter workings of steam machines, clocks and watches), birds of every kind (sitting or flying), insects of all types (dragon flies, bees, beetles, etc) and many more. Hint, visit some ATC sites for more ideas, but keep in mind that because of the very small size of the work surface, the images must be able to be scaled without loss of clarity.
Many thanks for Snagit, a product “that I couldn’t live without” – I use it every day!!
I am a technical writer and business administrator by trade. My company would not purchase snag-it for me, so I bought my own license and used snag-it (as a technical writer) on a daily basis. I also have a copy I use at home for personal projects. I have had a chance to use the stamps yet, but I can see where they could come in handy for various personal and professional projects.
I am part of a team developing a new software. The snag-it tool has been amazing in communicating changes to the team. I do not know how I functioned before using Snag-it. I have never used the stamps; but believe they will come in handy.
Thanks for making my life easier….
Paddles with numbers from 1-100 in other colors (or changeable colors)
Multi-tail callouts (to point to more than 1 item with same callout)
I use SnagIt to file buys and receipts I do online I add notes to those for we always forget the details of this screenshots, don’t we all? So Stamps pertaining to: Date , Time, Purpose, Paid,Received, in Process, Item name, (I think you have covered some of this in previous stamps) are helpful.
I am an amateur photographer and like to send picture cards to family and friends with messages. Maybe a resizable “borders stamps collection” could be in order? I like the idea of hair, hats, mustaches, flowers, insects, etc for funny additions to screenshots of pictures.
I would like to see more stamps relating to documenting software – variations on click and double click.
More arrows would be appreciated too.
It would be nice to have some stamps that are fine and precise, as many of the stamps included with SnagIt are big and fat. Think of annotating a screen capture or a photograph the same way an autocad drawing has dimensioning arrows.
Couple of things came to mind for tools in Snag-It
Fragment
One of the things that we’re continually having to do is fragment an image into multiple parts for use in HTML emails. If that could be done as a quick tool in Snag-It Editor that would be great.
And as a fun twist on the above….Jigsaw
Pretty much the same but fragment split an image into jigsaw shapes
Mike
Not sure if this has already been added, but being able to add additional stamps in the same style for numbering would be awesome! I often need numbers greater than the series provided in the available stamp sets, but find that I may not be able to copy the exact style if I go create my own to get the extra numbers. With the new SnagIt v11 / v2 release and the great looking stamps available in the Mac version, having the ability to use them and expand on them would be great.
Hello Beth,
In just released SuperStamps v3 we have really focused on the number series as this was one of the most requested features. We have added 7 new series of stamps ranging from 0 to 20 and we already had a series ranging from 0 – 100. You can see more examples on the SuperStamps Snagit Stamps page here.
I also made a video showing many of the new stamps here.
